About Ricky Lesser: Ricky Lesser is a lifestyle and architecture photographer and cinematographer. He has a particularly colorful style and we wanted to make sure his photos pop off the page. As this is a portfolio site for his work, we created several galleries, grouping his images by topics so a potential employer can view his work quickly using the navigation menu or be sent a specific portfolio page.
Highlights
Bringing multiple styles under one banner. Ricky pushes both lifestyle and architectural photography but didn't want to have two separate websites. No matter what he's shooting, he has a particular way of seeing things through the lens. We focused on the similarities for the rotating images on the home page, while still highlighting his individual pursuits in their own galleries making it easy to send a specific portfolio directly to potential clients.
Let the photography do the talking. Ricky wanted his photos to do most of the talking so we kept the imagery front and center while still addressing SEO needs with titles and necessary collection descriptions.
Project pages. Ricky is always shooting and wanted to highlight some of his creative pursuits to show his exploration and forward thinking with new techniques. We put these in a separate group so clients would know they were out of the box ideas.
Motion. He also does projects with video and is a great DP so we wanted to include an area dedicated to those skills specifically.
