About Wardlaw Music: Wardlaw Music is a music publishing company that prides itself on personalized service. They wanted to update their website from WordPress with a site that was an online business showcase for their artist roster rather than a sales agent.
Highlights
Roster pages. Wardlaw has an extensive artist roster with over 70 artists. That meant creating a page for each artist / band complete with images and links to their website, Spotify, and socials.
Creating a color highlight on roster page. Because they have so many clients, we wanted to make it clear whose page you would be clicking through to. To do this, we made all other artist images go black and white upon hover. A small detail that goes a long way in providing easier navigation.
Migrating blog posts. Wardlaw was migrating their website from a Wordpress site to Squarespace but wanted to keep all their previous blog posts. We recreated every single blog post dating back years and created an archive so no information was lost.
Custom icons for music genres. When searching a publisher’s website for music to sync, it is important to be able to search via genre. We worked together to create custom icons to quickly identify each genre so a potential client can navigate quickly and easily to music that may be a fit for their project.
